I'm a city girl who grew up in a small, country town called Mount Washington, Kentucky. Now, I'm a freshmen journalism major at the University of Kentucky. I love music, writing, and acting. I grew up listening to metal and 80's rock, and that is what began my love for music. I listen to almost every genre (I'm very open-minded), but my favorites are alternative, indie, acoustic, and metal. I play a little bit of acoustic guitar, and I've taken voice lessons for over a year. At UK, I'm very involved in Baptist Campus Ministries. I'm also a member of Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow, and I plan on writing for the Kentucky Kernel once I get a little more acquainted with Lexington and UK. An ultimate dream of mine would be a music journalist (I'm sure you've heard of a little magazine they call The Rolling Stone), but I'm also very interested in broadcast, especially radio.
