My name is Jacob, I am 18 years old and I love my home in Kentucky and want to support all means of alternative culture and radio. My musical taste is simply roots, long deep roots in music that run threw us all and here Kentucky we have some of the deepest roots in the music community, some of the greatest music of our time has come out of this great state and has led the way for most of the contemporary music today, with this said, I would love to hear a program that emphasis on roots music, consisting of old thyme, country blues, delta blues, depression folk, and hillbilly music. I feel like there is a healing power in this music which draws people close to it and inspires the musicians that play it, and with a new surge in attention to folk music, we need to know our roots.
